Stratagem Ltd in collaboration with Limassol Tourist Board implement the action ‘Safe Routes to School’ for a 3rd year within the framework of the co-funded project ‘Civitas Destinations’.
On 08/11/2019, an interactive workshop has been held at the Elementary School of Mesa Gitonias. The aim of the workshop was to promote viable and safer mobility modes to get to their schools, cultivating the ground for a greener approach in mobility by young people.
In total 70 students had participated form 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades. Students had the opportunity to use their bicycle at the traffic park that was created in the school’s yard and also to practice how to cross zebra crossings. Students were very excited about the workshops and expressed their desire to repeat the action in the future.
In general, students were very active and interested during the workshops, and discuss the benefits of using sustainable urban mobility. Many thanks to the school for the great hospitality and support.
