The recent kick-off meeting of the DIGI4ECO project, hosted by project coordinator AGENCIA ESTATAL CONSEJO SUPERIOR DE INVESTIGACIONES CIENTIFICAS, saw a convergence of minds in Barcelona from March 19th to 21st, 2024. Among the participants, Thomas Parissis and Maria Zafiropoulou, representing STRATAGEM, brought their expertise to the forefront, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to leveraging technology for environmental preservation. Amidst the stunning backdrop of the Marine Science Institute, STRATAGEM actively contributed to discussions on life cycle assessment, stakeholder engagement, and dissemination strategies.

The DIGI4ECO initiative outlines a comprehensive approach to leveraging technology and data to advance the understanding, management, and restoration of marine ecosystems.

At the forefront of DIGI4ECO’s objectives, STRATAGEM leads two essential work packages: “Life Cycle Assessment, Techno-Economic Analysis, and Stakeholder Engagement” and “Communication, Dissemination, Training, and Exploitation of Results”.

Throughout the three-day meeting, attendees collectively charted a course for the DIGI4ECO project, aiming to harness digital innovations for marine ecosystem conservation. With the event serving as a springboard for collaboration, STRATAGEM’s involvement highlighted its pivotal role in driving sustainability efforts forward.
