Stratagem had the honour to travel to Barcelona on the 9th of May to participate to the “Smart Specialization Strategies and Blue Biotechnology” brokerage event. DG MARE in cooperation with the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR), EU4Algae and Bluefasma organized this dedicated brokerage session to promote the potentialities of S3 interregional partnerships towards Blue Biotechnology stakeholders.
This event took place back2back with the conference “Fostering Circular Blue Economy in the Mediterranean” on 10-11 May in Barcelona. One part of this conference focused on the opportunities for Circular Blue Economy in Fisheries and aquaculture, while the other part of this conference, emphasized the good practices and lessons learned from the port of Barcelona. During the second part of the conference, a visit to the Port of Barcelona, presentations by the port manager and related projects, a boat trip around the massive port facility and a visit to the Ona Safe & Clean on-site for seeing the orange water-cleaning drone in action, took place.
