We are implementing for second academic year the action “Safe Routes to School” within the framework of the co-funded project “Civitas Destinations”, where urban and rural Primary schools from Limassol have been involved.
On 17/12/18 an experiential workshop has been held at the KA’ Elementary School of Κontovathia. In total 60 students from 1st grade participated in the workshop. Students had the opportunity to use their bicycle in the ‘traffic park’ that was created in the school’s yard.
Also, students took part in experiential workshops where they had the opportunity to move on foot in a specially designed area with pedestrian crossings and traffic signals as well.
Additionally, students attended a presentation on sustainable mobility modes and safety.
Students were very excited about the workshops and expressed their desire to repeat the action in the future.
