As part of the action ‘Safe Routes to School’ experiential workshops have been implemented at Apesia Primary School on 14.02.20 where 30 students participated. During the workshops students brought their bikes to school and had the opportunity to cycle in the specially designed traffic park that set up in the yard of the school. Also students put their skills gained from the workshop into practice and cycle on the roads of the village, with the support of the police and teachers.
Overall, students worked in groups, discussed about the different ways to go to school and in particular discussed about sustainable mobility as well as the benefits that emerged. More than 60% of students travel to school daily by bus.
The students were motivated and participated in all activities!!
Many thanks for the great hospitality and support!!
