The 2-day M6 Technical Meeting of our MASTERMINE Project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon Action programme under grant agreement No 101091895, took place on the 31st of May & 1st of June 2023 in Kemi, Finland.
The host of the meeting was Consortium Partner TAPOJARVI and Tampere University. The purpose of the meeting was to provide an opportunity for partners to present their work progress and discuss various aspects related to their project. Each partner had the chance to present their individual progress and achievements since the last meeting. This allowed everyone to gain insight into the advancements made by each organization and identify any areas that required further attention or collaboration. In addition to the progress presentations, the partners also discussed the planned next steps for the project. This involved outlining the tasks and activities that needed to be accomplished in the upcoming phase of the project, assigning responsibilities, and establishing timelines for completion.
As part of the meeting agenda, a visit to the KEMI mine was organized. This visit provided an opportunity for the partners to have a firsthand experience and gain a deeper understanding of the mining operations and related processes. It could have involved guided tours, demonstrations, and interactions with personnel at the mine to gather valuable insights for their project.
MASTERMINE Project aspires to become the go-to ecosystem for mines that envision digitalization, environmental sustainability, productivity monitoring and public acceptance within their strategic goals. STRATAGEM is contributing towards this goal by performing the Life Cycle Analysis on the use cases before and after the installation of Mastermine’s innovative technologies. Also, STRATAGEM is working towards the development of Clusters with the EU mining R&I community.
Overall, the meeting served as a platform for partners to exchange information, collaborate, and plan the next steps for their project. It allowed them to align their efforts, share knowledge, and ensure that they were on track to achieve their project objectives.
